Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Women's Wave Equate 8 Running Shoes in the Estate Blue/River Blue/Glacier Lake colourway should feel very supportive. As a result, they should work well for runners who have unstable feet and ankles.

Underfoot Feel

The supportive feel in the midsole stems from the Wave Plate. This structure provides added support on the medial side of the midsole - which helps reduce greater ranges of pronation.

Even though the plate's primary function is to increase support, it also improves propulsion.

From a cushioning perspective, the Mizuno Equate 8 Running Shoes should feel protective, yet responsive underfoot. This is because the Mizuno U4ic foam offers great shock absorption, but doesn't feel overly soft. We should note a heel wedge of Mizuno Enerzy foam helps soften landings.

Upper Fit

In line with the midsole, the upper of the Mizuno Wave Equate 8 Running shoes should feel structured and supportive. Overlays at the back and midfoot section enhance this sensation.

Ideal Run Type

It's likely the Mizuno Women's Wave Equate 8 Running Shoes will perform at their best on slower paced runs.

If you're looking for a more energetic underfoot experience, you should check out the Mizuno Wave Inspire Running Shoes.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
